I’m going to fly in about a week’s time to uq, where I’ll be starting a new phase of my life.
Sure I’ll be missing my family, frens and Malaysia, but I’m looking forward to explore and experience the culture and lifestyle of the land reknown among us for kangaroos, koala bears, Hungry Jack and super clean water..
I’ve not even step into Australia, but I’ve already encounter incidents which gave me a glimpse into the wonderful people I’ll be befriending later…A senior whom I’ve never even met readily offered help and advice, a girl whom I met for the first time at the JPA briefing offered to let me bunk in her room temporarily, new frens dat I’ve never talked to throughout my one and a half years in INTEC and the ever efficient officers of the university dat I’ll be attending. Of course, not everyone I’ll be meeting will be as helpful as these wonderful people, but these are the people who’ll make our stay in Australia so much more memorable.
Well. new frens’ll be made, but old friendships should never be forgotten… my chi cha roommate who is terribly afraid of cockroaches, my housemates who filled our apartment with shouts and laugher every nite (disturbing my beauty sleep), my wonderful classmates of Aussie 9 who gave me joy and headaches as their class rep and of course all my other frens I met in Puteri and INTEC..hope dat our friendship’ll blossom throughout d years..( well, it’s always worth keeping in touch with future scientists. doctors and other future professionals, right? Think of all d discounts u can get…maybe some will even perform an outstanding surgery, make a groundbreaking discovery or own a multi-billion business..)
Anyway..gd luck 2 all and have fun!
